Plant in moist soil or in shallow water, in full sun to part shade. May be planted in fabric planting bags or containers in your pond. Make sure the containers have holes so the canna roots have access to oxygen in the water. This helps plants to grow more quickly as well as helping to remove nutrients in the water that cause algae.May also be planted in moist soil in the landscape. Lift tender bulbs before first frost and overwinter bulbs indoors in a cool, dry place. Plant again in spring after all danger of frost has passed.
