Fay McDonald is a dazzling specimen, an exciting Intersubgeneric waterlily with beautiful color variations, from cool blue tones to purple jewel tones with amber centers and lighter petal base. Pads are bronze and mature to green. A tremendous bloomer with compact habitat. The blooms are held regally above the surface of the water. The blooms are quite large while the plant spread is medium in size, with Marliac-Odorata root type.
Plant in a large (2-7 gallon or larger) container using heavy loam soil, place in full sun 1-3' beneath the surface of the water. Plant as a hardy waterlily, fertilize during the growing/blooming months with Waterlily World Tabs + Humates or Landon Granular Fertilizer.
